The Goodness of God Isn’t Just In The Good

Looking back on my life, it is incredible to see how faithful God has been. But it’s not in the good where I see He has been most faithful. It’s actually when I look back on the hard times that I see how good God really is. Believe it or not, the goodness of God isn’t just in the good. His goodness follows us wherever we go. Even when we walk through trials, His goodness is still with us. Why don’t we see it? Well, I recently walked through the deepest and darkest valley I had ever been through and I couldn’t see the goodness of God. I was so focused on all the bad happening around me that I couldn’t see God’s goodness. I walked through a raging fire. I found myself in a battle and it almost broke me. I had no idea what it would look like now looking back on that difficult season. I see the goodness of God in that fire and in that battle. He was fighting for me. In that dark season, I did not see the goodness of God. All I felt was pain and suffering. But now I look back and I can’t tell you how good God has been to me and all He pulled me through. So never give up. The sun will rise and we will see the goodness of God.
