Honor The Fallen
Today is a day to honor those that have fallen so that our nation could rise. Too often we forget the sacrifice that our heroes made for this country and the freedom we now have. Memorial Day comes around and we hang a little American flag from our mailbox and then we feel all patriotic and satisfied. But at the same time, we are forgetting what our service men and women have fought for. They fought for our freedom. We wave that flag high in the sky to remind us of the freedom we have and how we have it. There is so much meaning behind this flag. So many lives that were lost stand behind the meaning of this flag. I find myself just honoring those that fought for my country when I see that flag high in the sky. I believe we should spend more time thinking of our freedom and our lives here in America. Our heroes didn’t just fight for our freedom. They fought for us and the life we now have in America. I stand with the heroes who have fought and now fight for America. I wouldn’t have a life like this in America if no one fought for this country. So many gave their lives to raise up this country in freedom, truth, and liberty. I stand with America because I am a patriot. And that is why today, and every day, I honor our heroes.
