A Lot Comes Before Growth
I know we’ve all experienced those moments as a young kid where we just could be so immature at times. But even more, we sometimes look back now as young adults and wonder if we have even matured. Ever just looked back over the years and felt like you haven’t grown as a person? I know the feeling. And I believe we also have all experienced difficult seasons in life, where we look back and see how much we grew in the midst of some of the hardest things we’ve been through. I know sometimes we want to just grow more popular but instead we should want to grow to be more like Jesus. I have been through some crazy difficult things in my life and I learned so much and looking back I can’t believe how much I have grown. But sometimes after all the pain I felt, it’s almost as if I am numb at times. I want to grow in faith and grow in Christ but I have to lay other things aside to make time for the most important things in my life. Though I would never wish for anyone to go through something hard, we all do at some point and God will use that season to grow us more than we knew we needed to grow. If you want to be mature, put God first in your life and grow in Him. That is what I have to work on daily. It’s a daily choice, to put Him first.
